Traditional interior designers don't take on small projects like rentals or small apartments. They typically don't take on projects for less than $10,000. We think that everyone deserves to have a beautiful, magazine quality home without the need to spend a ton of money. We try to use a combination of high and low pieces to get you the most pop for your money!

HOW DOES THIS COMPARE TO TRADITIONAL INTERIOR DESIGN?

WHY SHOULD I USE YOU instead of someone else?

Maggie's design philosophy is a bit different than most designers. She believes you can get an Architectural Digest home on a Target budget. We like to use high end inspiration and a mix of retail and design furniture, art, and decor. Sometimes all it takes is a new coat of paint, a DIY project, or a slightly different fabric to create a $1,000 space that looks like a $10,000 room. It is our belief that an affordable, but beautifully designed space can make a home much more livable - with babies, dogs, muddy shoes, coffee and red wine.

How does this  48 hour refresh work?

It all starts with a consultation, then we can move forward into either a curated buyable pinterest board (where you buy and install everything) or a full refresh of your apartment in 24-48 hours. We'll do spaces as small as a living room or bedroom, or as big as your entire home.

HOW MUCH DOES THIS refresh COST?

Each refresh is different- we tailor the budget to your specific needs. In general, our makeovers have ranged from about $500-$15,000. These past projects have ranged from small to large - from a baby nursery all the way through a full deck buildout or custom art and furniture. We will work with you to make sure you are comfortable with what you need and what you have to spend.

Do you have a specific style?

No, we can decorate with any color schemes, furniture tastes and home size. Maggie's background comes from set and event design, where she decorated for clients like MTV, Louis Vuitton, Vogue, Prada, Target, ESPN, Bloomingdales and more. She is fluent in many different styles and enjoys getting to know each person and their spaces and figuring out how to make a space nice for someone other than herself. While she has a neon sign in her living room, she knows that is not everyone's style!

I JUST WANT IDEAS,  I CAN DO THE REST.

Great, we're happy to help! We can talk about the best ways to do this - if you want us to buy and ship things to your apartment with our relationships and discounts we're happy to do that for a fee. Or if you'd prefer to buy on your own timeline, we can create a buyable pinterest board for you to decorate your space. We can even supply floor plan suggestions for you to set up your space.

Depending on schedules and how big your refresh is, there is a 2-3 week lead-time before the refresh. The actual install itself takes 24-48 hours. We'll need unlimited access to your space during normal business hours (8am-5pm) and you can be at home in the evenings or be away on vacation. We prefer if you are out of the house most of the day, because it can be stressful to see the work in progress, and we're trying to take all of the hassle out of the redecorating process. We'll text you when your final reveal is ready and let you experience your space in private. Think TLC's Trading Spaces show with no cameras and amazing results!

HOW LONG DOES A TYPICAL REFRESH TAKE?

DO YOU GET DESIGNER DISCOUNTS?

Yes, the discounts depend on vendor, but generally stores range from 15-25% or more. The savings will be passed down to you, or can help cover the design fees. These stores include West Elm, Pottery Barn, Williams Sonoma, Target, Wayfair, All Modern, Design and Decorating Building Companies, and many more. We have relationships with couriers, custom upholsterers and builders to get you the most affordable and beautiful home possible.

We're aiming to be affordable while still helping you build a home for yourself. We won't try to sell you a $5,000 rug just because we think its stylish (unless you want that, of course). Our aim is to make your space chic and comfortable, but if you spill a glass of red wine on a pillow, it won't ruin your whole week because it cost $600. We use retail stores and shop affordable and online vendors to get the most out of your money. We make sure to let you know when an investment piece is worth it, but if it's not necessary we'll find the most cost effective solutions around - it's our job to know all of the stores and the best sales.

but doesn't interior design always cost a fortune?

I'M Moving in a week, can you help me buy things before I move?

We're happy to help you buy some pieces before you move, but we don't recommend buying a lot of furniture before you move in. Our golden rule is to live in your new space for TWO WEEKS with the furniture you already own. Live in the space, move things around and then at that point we're happy to make a plan with you. This helps both us and you decide what is going to be best for your space and not fall into an excited splurge on things you don't need.
